ive been here for a while but the work has been very on/off - i'll have enough money for the nz trip in march for the 2nd/3rd tests and then off to either WA or South Australia but i would of liked to earn some more. i'm leaving for barmera tomorrow which is 2 hours west of here in SA where there will hopefully be a little more work - i'm just looking forward to getting back to sydney on march 2nd and going to the ODI before leaving for NZ on tuesday 4th - 29th.
alot of the work has been putting the covers on the grapevines or fruit picking (which is really bad money, even less then i got at mitie!!! lol, j/k). i had a good job for one day where i earned $140 after tax doing carting (collecting all the boxes of grapes and stocking them) but that stopped. ive been told that alot of the work and harvest is unpredictable as there has been a drought for the last few years.
anyway, there's not been too much to do in this little outback town, just a small mall, a supermarket (cole's), an irish pub that charges $7 a pint (although ive had to be tight with money so ive only been there once) and lots of harvest fields. maybe barmera will be better (only 3 weeks before i hit fun again!!) lol
hows everyone at home?
i managed to watch the SB, good game and the giants pulled it off, NE finish 18-1 lol
also announed that the uk has an nfl game the next 3 years with san diego-new orleans in october which should be really good
i just saw that we got crushed in the OD - typical of england to be so negative and defensive (although its a rare quality to only score 130 and STILL almost bat the 50 overs out LOL) - they never should of took dimi out and cooks not really a one day player. i'm more interested in the tests but we should be able to win the one day series against an average team (unless we keep playing this poorly)
anyway, i'm heading off now
take care
